Organization

Tax deductibility. Blue's Bunny Kingdom is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. No goods or services are provided in exchange for a contribution unless stated at the time of the gift. Consult your tax advisor about your own circumstances.

Acknowledgment. We provide a written acknowledgment for every contribution of $250 or more, stating the amount and whether any goods or services were provided. Request a receipt for any gift at Sarah@bluesbunny.org.

Recognition benefits. Donor recognition, including naming, signage and listings, is acknowledgment of a gift and not goods or services of substantial value. Where a gift comes with anything of value, such as an event, we state its fair market value at the time of the gift.

Use of funds. Contributions are unrestricted and applied where the need is greatest unless you designate otherwise in writing and we accept the designation. Where a restricted purpose becomes impracticable, we will apply the funds to a purpose as near as reasonably possible to the original intent, and will contact donors of $1,000 or more before doing so.

Recurring gifts. Recurring donations continue until cancelled. Cancel at any time through your Zeffy donor account, the link in your receipt, or by writing to Sarah@bluesbunny.org. A cancellation sent to us takes effect before the next scheduled charge when we receive it at least 21 days beforehand.

Refunds. Contributions are generally not refundable. We will refund a duplicate charge, an incorrect amount, or an unauthorized transaction on request within 30 days of the gift. Write to Sarah@bluesbunny.org.

Donation processing. Donations are processed by Zeffy. We do not receive or store payment card numbers.

Financial information. Our Form 990 is available on request at Sarah@bluesbunny.org and through the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search. California residents may obtain information about registered charities from the Attorney General's Registry of Charities and Fundraisers.

Solicitation. All solicitation is conducted by our own personnel and volunteers. We do not use paid professional fundraisers or commercial fundraising counsel.

Animal listings. Animals shown on this site are in the care of independent partner organizations. Blue's Bunny Kingdom does not hold these animals, does not screen adopters, and is not a party to any adoption.
